an invasively delicious dry-hopped pale ale brewed with local kudzu flowers and dry-hopped with loral, mosaic and huell melon
Brewed in collaboration with The Friends of Lake James State Park, a non-profit dedicated to conservation, education, and recreation of Lake James State Park. Mashed with local two row barley malt along with a dash of flaked oats. Steeped on heaps of house-foraged kudzu flowers and additional kudzu flowers purchased from the fine folks at Kudzu Culture of Asheville, North Carolina. Fermented with our preferred house ale yeast for a decidedly dry and incredibly quenchable finish. Hopped intensely in the whirlpool and the fermenter with an alluring combination of mosaic, huell melon and loral hops.Known as “the vine that ate the south”, this invasive species has completely transformed the southern landscape. Boasting an intense grape soda aroma, kudzu flowers offer layers of floral complexity to this crushable, end-of-summer pale ale. 5.6% abv
